How Does a Furnace Work and When Should You Get A New One?

How It Works:

A furnace works by heating air or water and circulating it through a home to provide warmth. Most furnaces use natural gas as a fuel source and have a burners that ignite the gas to produce heat.

The heat is then transferred to air or water which is then circulated throughout the home through a system of ducts or pipes.

Replacement Tips:

You should consider getting a new furnace if your current furnace is over 15 years old, if you are constantly repairing it, or if it is becoming less efficient (increasing energy bills).

It is also a good idea to replace your furnace if it is not producing enough heat or if you are experiencing inconsistent heating in your home.

If you are unsure whether or not it is time to replace your furnace, you can consult an HVAC professional for advice.
